The 5 domains of child development
Domains in child development refer to areas of child development that are independent of other domains but still interconnected.
Cognitive Domain
The Cognitive Domain refers to the area of a child's brain that assists him in learning and thinking.

Language Domain
Language affects cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development, and improving communication skills is an effective strategy for promoting children's growth and development.


Emotional domain
The emotional domain of a child is the area in which he "feels." It includes how we express our emotions, how we identify our own and other people's emotions, and how we regulate our emotions.
Social Domain
Individuals' social development includes aspects of their relationships with others, social values, and right and wrong behavior.

Physical Domain
The Physical Domain is the area of Child Development that includes physical development. This development has three major components.
1. Movement and Balance.
2. gross motor abilities Controlling large muscles of the body for walking, jumping, running, crawling, sitting, etc.
3. Fine Motor Skills The ability to control small movements. For instance, fingers and toes, toes and wrists.
